ULK is accredited, under the High Education Council, governed by Law N° 010/2021 of 16/02/2021 determining the Organization of Educationand presidential order N°51/01 of 13/07/2010 establishing quality standards in higher learning institutions.

Our programs and degrees are highly respected as we equip our students with in-demand market skills along with ethical and moral values. Our hands-on curricula, developed with input from public and private stakeholders, prepare our students to become highly competitive in the job market. ULK alumni have gone on to obtain gainful employment and/or pursue their education worldwide.
Libraries.
ULK has put in place infrastructure to support educational research, curiosity, and research. Our students and staff have access to our libraries which have thousands of physical and digital articles, journals, and books; enabling them to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom.
Campuses.
ULK offers its program at the Kigali and Gisenyi campuses, which has enabled students from the respective surrounding cities and countries to pursue their education, leading to gainful employment opportunities.
International Partnerships.
ULK has multiple international partnerships that equip, empower, and broaden our students’ experiences and horizons. These partnerships have attracted students from all over the world–Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, DRC, South Sudan, Benin, Gabon,Tchad among others–to attend ULK. Moreover, our alumni have gone on to work across the region, continent, and world.
