The Kigali Genocide Memorial received a visit from students, faculty, and staff of ULK Ltd on Friday, May 17th 2024. Joining them were Pauline Umwali, Mayor of Gasabo District who was also the guest of honor as well as Gatete Eugene representing Ibuka. This solemn gathering honored the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
Paying respect to the over 259,000 lives that are laid to rest there, the ceremony commenced at the memorial. Returning to the university stadium, the focus shifted towards education and fostering unity. Discussions explored the history of the genocide, aiming to empower the young community with knowledge and the importance of fighting against genocidal ideology.
