Dr. Sikubwabo Cyprien holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Rwanda. He also holds a Master’s degree in Educational Planning, Management and Administration, and a Master’s Degree of Arts in English (Linguistics and Literature). His foundational studies include a Bachelor of Arts in English-French with Education, providing him with a broad and deep understanding of both educational and linguistic disciplines.
He is currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of Kigali Independent University ULK, where he plays a crucial role in steering the institution towards its academic and administrative goals. His previous positions include Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academics at ULK Gisenyi campus, where he was instrumental in shaping academic policies and programs. Additionally, he served as the Coordinator of Postgraduate Programs at the University of Kigali (UOK), further demonstrating his expertise in higher education management.
His teaching career is marked by significant contributions as a full-time lecturer at the University of Kigali for eight years and at Rwanda Polytechnic for nearly five years. His pedagogical impact extends beyond these institutions, having also served as a part-time lecturer at Mount Kenya University, Mahatma Gandhi University and INES-Ruhengeri, enriching students’ learning experiences across various academic environments.
Dr. Cyprien Sikubwbo was a member of the Academic Senate of Rwanda Polytechnic for almost two years, where he contributed to high-level academic governance and policy development. He is also a prolific researcher; he published numerous articles in international peer-reviewed journals and actively participated in academic conferences where he has presented his research findings. His contributions to education and research continue to make a significant impact in his field.
